Lots of special effects in this strip; I think every single character had some sort of post-production work. Sandstorm is doing something called matter surfing, which is what Iceman did in the old Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends cartoon. He also does it in the comics, I suspect, but I don’t read them. Although it looks very dramatic for characters to be blasting through the air and racing through the streets, it’s pretty impractical for travelling long distances.
