If you’re a nerd like me, you know that Gary Gygax was the author of Dungeons and Dragons, and one of the stupidest monsters created for that game was the Gelatinous Cube. The Gelatinous Cube was a ten-foot-by-ten-foot cube of gelatin (durh!) which fit neatly down every ten-foot-wide corridor in every dungeon, sweeping up “organic detritus” and eating it, and collecting massive amounts of treasure along the way.

Yeah, it was basically a Santa Claus monster. Kill it and get stupid rich.

And in case there’s a need to light a fire under someone’s butt, I’ll just say that Dungeons and Dragons blows. GURPS is better.
