The Last Monday Morning Quarterback
Gonna love you baby, here I come again
Well, the Super Bowl is over and done, which means football season is over and my sports fan life becomes less complicated by fifty percent. Fortunately, I can still get my hockey jones on regularly with my playoff-contending team the Colorado Avalanche. But with the end of football season, I can't really call this the Monday Morning Quarterback series anymore, especially since I've been more often updating it at night anyway. I'm open to suggestions for a new series title for my weekly recaps. I'm sure I could come up with something, but gawrsh, I'd really like to see a little more participation from my readers.
I'm more than half done with my agent-requested revisions of Pariah's Moon. I've posted a couple of excerpts on my Facebook page and they've been remarkably well-received (including by my agent, who pops onto FB regularly). So I'm pretty happy with the way that's going and with a little good fortune on my side, I'll have a completed revision draft by this time next week.
I also realized this morning that I have ten thousand words of Champion written already. Holy smokes, when did I get so durn prolific?
Finally, I managed to find enough time this past weekend to get three weeks of The Adventures of the S-Team handled, including the hotly-anticipated strip #1000, which is Sandstorm's scheduled due date for her baby. Make sure you get caught up so you don't miss a single day of the exciting buildup to her water breaking. Or something like that.

I'd help but you know I'm lousy with titles. :D

I'm remembering this time last year, you were trying to write that Canyonlands story and were utterly blocked and miserable. Then you told me about your idea for Blackout, and I was like, "What in the hell are you doing NOT writing that??" And you were concerned about writing more superhero fic that might not sell, and I told you to banish the thought. Then you wrote it, and since then you haven't really stopped writing. Perhaps that was the point where you finally became comfortable with who you were as a writer. It's a moment I think a lot of us are still searching for.
