My Shangri-La beneath the summer moon
If you don't normally listen to the music I pick for you, you might want to give this one a whirl. I was looking for a specific cover version of Led Zeppelin's Kashmir. I didn't find the one I sought, but happened upon this bluegrass version from the Pickin' On series that I really liked. I hope you do too.
Saturday night at approximately 11:30 PM, I attached Pariah's Moon (7th iteration) to an email and sent it off to my agent. I feel good about it, and I think it may very well be the first thing she sells of mine (hopefully followed by Troubleshooters, Just Cause series, Blood on the Ice, oh but I do go on...).
I told myself to take a break, a few days of down time to clear out the last dregs of Giele and the Horks to make room for a bunch of Canadians with a penchant for raw beef smoothies, but...
Football season is over. It's the Olympics, so hockey's on hold (yes, I realize there is hockey in the Olympics, but it's just not the same). I don't watch racing, although I heard there was some big race this weekend that some dude won. So I turned to movies and managed to sit through an entire DVD before I was too antsy to do anything else. I cracked open Blood on the Ice and now I'm in Chapter 4 of revisions (3rd iteration).
Writing on Champion has gone slowly the past few days, but I'm eager to get back to it now that things have gotten a little less crazy at my day job. Watch this space, for I may post another excerpt at some point soon if I'm desperate for blog filler.
Which reminds me...Let's have a Question and Answer session. Leave me a question in the comments that you would like me to address and I'll do my best to give you your money's worth.

Okay, here's some questions for you. We'll relate them to revision since you've been doing so much of it lately.
What are your three most overused words in your manuscripts?
What do you hate most about revision?
What do you love most about revision?
Lastly, when you get that first book publishing contract, what are you going to buy yourself to celebrate?
:)
