In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of months, melamine is a toxic plastic that Chinese dairies were mixing into baby formula because it gave false protein readings and therefore they could water it down more. A bunch of kids got sick and some died. At the time, even the U.S. Food and Drug Administration didn’t have guidelines for how much melamine was considered unsafe.
I don’t know if there is melamine in the compound which is used to make LEGO elements, but here at AST I do not recommend you ingest any of your LEGO elements.
