It’s Shaft, and he’s one baaaaaaad motherf-(shut my mouth!). To get the look of his overcoat, I took a black cape and poked new holes in it through which I attached the arms. It’s an idea I’ve had for awhile but this is the first time I actually put it into practice.
In case you’re wondering, this is the Samuel L. Jackson version of Shaft, not the earlier incarnation.
It’s hard to put together a spontaneous musical number and show it in strictly graphic form. The idea for this came from a conversation with a friend where the show Cop Rock came up, and I thought to myself – “yeah, I could do that in the S-Team!”
Don’t worry – this won’t become a habit with me. And yes, Shaft will be guest-starring next week.
