The Adventures of the S-Team!

This is, I think, the first time I’ve used dotted speech balloons to denote whispering. I also make use of the smaller font here (for words spoken sotto voce), which I’ve done before. Yelu seems to have a very good grasp on the entire situation, doesn’t he? You always had the impression Spock did too, and just suffered Kirk’s bumblings for his own amusement.

The “synchronized dancing” in the third panel is something that Berkeley Breathed used occasionally in his brilliantly funny epic Bloom County. I’ve been waiting for a good chance to use it here.

And everyone knows, or should know, that hot alien ladies are green. Or in this case, dress in it. That’s because of the pilot episode of Star Trek, of course.
