“Follow the white rabbit” is a reference to The Matrix, which in turn was a reference to Alice in Wonderland. Steve Dallas was a character from Berkeley Breathed’s excellent syndicated comic strip Bloom County.

That’s a bunny from my daughter’s Littlest Pet Shop collection. I had intended to use the LEGO bunny from her Belville set but we couldn’t find it. I actually found the LPS bunny eerily creepy and well-suited for this strip (and a couple more).
