The very notion that he can’t understand how something works is a completely foreign one to Science Guy.

Of course, if you really look at the catapult from this LEGO set, the only way it could possibly work is by having a giant operate it. There’s no counterweight, tension, lever, etc.

Yes, I’m being a catapult snob.

There’s this thing called the Hammer Principle, which says “When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.”

All Shellshock and Science Guy have is a catapult…

The “What’s wrong with Bob?” joke actually goes all the way back to high school theater for me. The very first play I was involved in was a student-written and -directed spoof of Snow White entitled Snow White and the Seven Hermits. The Hermits, much like the Dwarves of the original, had creative, unusual names. But instead of “Doc,” we had “Bob.” When Snow White asked him about it he got very sharp and screamed “Yes, Bob! What’s wrong with Bob? Lots of people are named Bob!” And it has stuck with me ever since.

I guess you had to be there to REALLY appreciate it.

Technically it wasn’t Science Guy who won third place, it was me. But he’s perfectly willing to claim credit for my accomplishments.

Even if it was only for third place.

The problem with being a know-it-all is that Science Guy acts like a know-it-all sometimes.
