Ever notice how most aliens on TV shows are just dudes with bumpy heads? The Star Trek universe has been the worst offender in my mind. And yes, I know that’s supposedly because in the past there was a master race of humanoids from whom all “modern” Star Trek races evolved. That’s their story and they’re sticking to it. I know the truth: budget. 🙂

I’ve been wanting to do a flashback sequence for, well, years. I just haven’t found the right way to incorporate it until now.
The blurry effects around the edges of the original panel (from Feb. 2, 2007), were accomplished using the Smudge and Blur effects with GIMP.
